How to deal with loneliness

However, there is a so-called "no-fly zone". "chronic loneliness", which, as if as a chain, has tangled around your neck and follows you everywhere.

When we talk about loneliness, most people's minds come up with a Friday night in which your plans have failed and you have nothing left but to kill time with someone and another movie on TV.

However, there is a so-called "no-fly zone". "chronic loneliness", which, as if as a chain, has tangled around your neck and follows you everywhere. It is that feeling that makes you feel alone even in the moments when you are surrounded by many people and, at first glance, there are no reasons to make you feel that way.

Loneliness is a common condition that can hinder a number of activities and aspects of our lives. The inability to fully enjoy things, the constant feeling that we lack something to feel good about, is like a time bomb. At some point, this melancholy overwhelms your whole being, and you no longer remember what it feels like to experience true and unadulterated joy.

That is why today we decided to share with you several ways through which you could help yourself in fighting this insidious state.

Start taking as you are

Stop thinking that if you were weaker, you'd be happier. Or if you were prettier. Or richer. As it is known, the key to happiness and peace lies in accepting yourself. Yes, you inevitably need to improve but accept this process not as a need to fix something broken, but as a much-needed personal growth to become a better version of yourself. Not good, but better.

Stop expecting constant approval and assurance from the outside

If you constantly expect someone else to shower you with attention and love and, thus, to remind you how important and special you are, then you are very likely to develop a dependence on your relationship with others. First of all, it's extremely burdensome for your loved ones. And, secondly, it is not at all healthy for you – the approval and assurance that you are doing well and that you are someone worth it must come first from yourself.

Find your passion

Discover that hobby that actually brings you happiness. So spending time alone will not be so scary and overwhelming, but you will enjoy embarking on an activity that you find close to yourself. It's also a very good way of self-knowledge and self-analysis. Invest in the time spent with yourself, even if you are afraid to be alone. Especially then.
